Just days after the historic House floor sit-in, New York lawmakers are trying to rally for congressional legislation on gun control.
On Friday, House Democrats, joined by gun safety advocates and victims of gun violence, demanded that Congress pass gun legislation.
The lawmakers tried to use social media to get their point across as many across the nation supported them and joined their efforts. But despite Democrats' demands for "no bill, no break," Speaker Paul Ryan recessed the house until July 5.
Lawmakers in New York say the fight is not over. They're going to continue to hold more rallies next week to keep the momentum going.
