New York City nurses are preparing for a possible strike as their contracts are set to expire on Jan. 31.

Representatives from the New York State Nurses Association say that if contracts are not settled, the bargaining committee has the authority to call a strike.

Nurses say that hospitals are delaying negotiations and not doing enough to protect patient care.
