State police are investigating a trooper-involved shooting on Friday.
Officers say two troopers on DWI patrol chased a vehicle around 10:45 p.m. on Grand Central Parkway.
The driver was not compliant once the car stopped despite officers trying to talk to them, according to officials. Officers say when the suspect continued to move his car toward the troopers, one of them shot at the driver.
The suspect was taken to the hospital. The passenger was not injured.
