Parents say getting special access to the museum allows their children to spend time in a judgment-free zone.
Participants enjoyed a story teller bringing NYC transit history to life on a vintage subway car, and an arts and crafts workshop.
The New York Transit Museum works with the community center 'Extreme Kids and Crew' for the event. The group provides support for families of children with disabilities.
