March 20 marks the first day of spring, and New Yorkers are not wasting any time soaking up the sun.
It's not just flowers that are starting to emerge after a cold and dark winter - New Yorkers are too!
"I just started to come out last week, so I come out here at 8 a.m., do my cardio. I actually like to sun gaze while I'm jump roping," says Cerley de Jesus.
Nicole Rivera moved to the Bronx during the winter and is happy to step up her game. Her and her workout buddy hit the bleachers for a mini-bootcamp workout at Pelham Bay Park in the morning sun.
From push-ups to pull-ups, Justin Cruz says he's been braving the cold and working out at the outdoor gym all winter. However, he's happy to have company now that hibernation is over.
"Now it's starting to get a little more packed which is good because when we were coming out before there wasn't a lot of people out.. It was a little lonely when you're by yourself, you know," says Cruz.
