A 21-year-old man from Maple Shade was sentenced to 15 years in prison after carjacking two Uber drivers in the same night, according to Burlington County prosecutors.
Officials say Michael DiSantis, of the 100 block of Kings Highway, carjacked an Uber driver in the township after being picked up in Philadelphia. They say an investigation that began in May 2023 also found DiSantis targeted another Uber driver later that same day just several hours later.
DiSantis pleaded guilty in November to two counts of carjacking and one count of eluding. He was sentenced last month in Superior Court in Mount Holly. He must serve 85% of the term before becoming eligible for parole, prosecutors say.
