Police released new footage of the suspect in a Thursday morning stabbing inside a Bay Ridge Avenue R train station.
According to police, it happened just after 4 a.m. In the video, the suspect is wearing an Amazon jacket and hops a turnstile.
Police say he stabbed a 30-year-old man in the eye before fleeing on a Brooklyn-bound R train.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he is in stable condition.
Residents in the area tell News 12 they were shocked to hear about this incident.
“That kind of violence is so scary. I take the train every day…I’ve never heard of anything like this in this area,” said resident Allyson Pereyra.
She says she hopes an increased police presence can help prevent future incidents, but says she was especially disturbed to see the man wearing an Amazon vest.
"He could be going into people's buildings like a working person and that's really shocking to see," she said.
Police are urging the public to help identify the man in the video and contact Crime Stoppers for details.
