The Church Avenue Merchants Block Association is holding its "500 Turkeys for 500 Families" drive today.
CAMBA, a nonprofit organization in Flatbush, says they play a huge role in helping out the community. They say they provide emergency food to more than 4,000 people each month a in a grocery store style setting.
The turkeys are handed out to families who might otherwise be unable to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
The organization says the drive is something they've done for many years and plan to continue doing for many more.
