New York Attorney General Letitia James is lashing out at President Donald Trump’s slew of pardons delivered in the final hours of his presidency.
Trump pardoned former chief strategist Steve Bannon, rapper Lil Wayne and other allies of his and his family.
James released a statement, saying in part: “President Donald Trump started his administration with unethical behavior and he will end it no differently. The 143 pardons and commutations issued perfectly sum up what this lame-duck president has always been about: favoritism.”
The attorney general went on to say that when Trump leaves office, “the rule of law will be restored.”
