New York City's basketball team earned the "Three Peat" by winning the gold medal at the Empire State Games Sunday.
In a physical game, the New York City team defeated Hudson Valley 76-75. Hudson Valley nearly tied the game with one second left, but missed a free-throw that would have sent it to overtime.
New York City was led by three Bronx natives. Willie Williams earned the most valuable player award, Justin Daniels brought home three rebounds and two blocks and Monroe High School's Danny Odiase set the pace at the point.
