Those traveling home by ferry between Wall Street and Bay Ridge will be able to shave off 20 minutes from their commute.
The city first introduced the Faster Connections Program during the mornings a few months ago. The program led to more ridership, so officials decided to bring it to evenings as well.
The express service will be available from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will travel between Wall Street and Bay Ridge with stops at Governor's Island and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
It will also operate between Brooklyn Army Terminal and Corlears Hook.
The express service is already available in the mornings from 6:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
The new service starts Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
