The New York State Division of Human Rights will launch a statewide multimedia campaign urging those with HIV and AIDS to learn more about their rights.
Under the human rights law, those with the virus have the right to file complaints if they feel they have been discriminated against.
The campaign will appear in mass transit stations and on billboards throughout the state.
A social media component will also be incorporated.
The campaign will begin in January 2016.
