If you need to have your home inspected, a new city program now offers the service for free.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Department of Buildings Commissioner Ahmed Tigani officially launched a no-penalty inspection program.

Homeowners and small property owners will have access to free visual inspections and expert guidance to help prevent minor maintenance issues from becoming costly emergencies.

Free home inspections can be scheduled from June 1 to July 10.

The program comes as June marks National Homeownership Month.
