Starting today, New York City is expanding the effort to vaccinate homebound seniors citywide.
"Whether they are senior citizens, or they are disabled, whatever the reason, we will reach them. Our goal is to reach everyone who is homebound who wants to be vaccinated by the end of April," Mayor Bill de Blasio says.
De Blasio says volunteers will be going house by house to reach those who cannot go out to get vaccinated.
Over 2,800,000 total doses have been administered in the five boroughs so far.
