A 23-year-old New York City man was identified as the person killed in a shooting Saturday night at a Chick-fil-A on Route 22 in Union, authorities said.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office and Union Police Department said the victim was Malek Shepherd, who was a customer at the restaurant when the shooting occurred.
Police responded to the Chick-fil-A at about 9 p.m. on April 11 on a report of a shooting and found seven victims at the scene, authorities said.
