NYC Parks: Volunteers needed during ‘Monday Morning Pitch-In’

The Parks Department is hoping volunteers will take two to three hours each Monday to show love to one of the city’s 33 parks.

The city’s Parks Department is urging volunteers to sign up for the “Monday Morning Pitch-In” – a way for people to help keep parks clean at the start of each week.
News 12's Mary-Lyn Buckley was at Kaiser Park in Coney Island as a small group cleaned up the barbecue and picnic areas. The cleanup program was pushed to Tuesday due to the holiday.
The Parks Department is hoping volunteers will take two to three hours each Monday to show love to one of the city’s 33 parks.
“Your invaluable help will make parks cleaner, safer, and greener for our families, pets, friends, and neighbors," reads the event info on the Parks Department website.
