Tuesday was National Voter Registration Day and groups across the city are doing their part to get voters ready for Election Day.
More than 70 organizations partnered with NYC Votes to hold voter registration drives across the city Tuesday, including several in Brooklyn.
Volunteers also hit the streets to talk to people about the importance of casting their ballots. They say they want everyone to know that every vote counts.
The deadline to register to vote in this year's general election is Oct. 11, so time is ticking to make sure you have a say in who gets elected. If you can't make it to one of the registration sites, you can always sign up online.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
