A shooting Friday night in Sheepshead Bay left one man recovering in the hospital with a leg wound.

According to police, it happened just before 9 p.m. inside one of the NYCHA buildings along Avenue W.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, is in stable condition.

One resident told News 12 that she feels safe in the area despite Friday night’s shooting and a similar incident in September.

“Overall, it is a safe area. It’s just riff raff around the projects that doesn’t really seem to spill outside of it," said Julie Nelty, a resident of Sheepshead Bay.

No arrests have been made.
