Police currently have a 16-year-old in custody in connection to a shooting that took place on the train platform at the Mount Eden Avenue subway station.
This comes after the NYPD released photos of two of the suspects wanted for the shooting that left 35-year-old Obed Beltran-Sanchez dead and five others between the ages of 14 to 71 were injured on Monday.
The 16-year-old has since been charged with one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder.
Investigators say the incident unfolded when two groups got into a verbal dispute on a northbound 4 train. One shot was fired inside the subway car, and more were fired on the platform at the subway station.
Police are still investigating the crime and believe that it was a gang-related shooting. No charges have been confirmed for the person in custody at this time.
