Police are searching for 16-year-old Kinje Mann, who has been missing since Nov. 30.
His mother, Bristol Powell, says the past four days without her son have brought about an indescribably level of pain.
“He came home, and apparently he packed some bags, he left me a note on his computer, and he left,” said Powell.
Powell says that Kinje Mann went to school last Thursday and only stayed for two periods before returning home. She says that in his room, he typed up a note and left it in the notes app on his laptop that said he was fine, having good fun, and living.
“I’m destroyed,” said Powell. “It’s absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever experienced.”
Powell says a detective has been assigned to her case by the NYPD after she contacted law enforcement to file a missing persons report. She says she’s also posted dozens of posters around her neighborhood at places her son liked to visit.
Anyone with information in regard to this missing person incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 911.
Powell says to also email helpfindkinje@gmail.com.
