NYPD: 23-year-old woman injured in Canarsie stabbing

A 23-year-old woman was stabbed in the left thigh Monday afternoon in Canarsie, according to police.

Authorities say it happened at the corner of Ralph Avenue and East 76th Street.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police have not identified a suspect and the events leading up to the incident are unknown.

The crime is the latest in a series of stabbing cases reported in Brooklyn over the past two days.
