Four people were shot on Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bed-Stuy on Wednesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
Police say that the shooting took place outside of 56 Marcus Garvey Blvd., near Park and Myrtle avenues just after 3:30 p.m. They say that a uniformed public safety officer saw a white Hyundai Santa Fe leaving the scene where shots were fired.
Law enforcement officials say the gunman exited the vehicle and waited for the three male victims before shooting, also striking a fourth victim.
They say that a 21-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, a 28-year-old male was shot in the back, a 25-year-old male was shot in the stomach, and a 34-year-old female was grazed in the right arm. The 34-year-old female has since been released from the hospital, and two of the three male victims are currently in critical condition.
Officers patrolling the area followed the Hyundai Santa Fe onto Myrtle Ave., where the car turned right and struck two motorists. Four suspects fled on foot after that crash, and three of the four suspects were then apprehended by members of the NYPD.
No charges have been made, and the NYPD is still searching for the fourth suspect at this time.
