A Crown Heights family was attacked and robbed inside an apartment near St. John's Place and Classon Avenue earlier this month.
Police say the suspects got into the apartment initially by telling the victims they were police officers.
The incident happened Tuesday, Oct. 9 around 12:30 p.m.
The NYPD released surveillance video of one of the suspects. They say he and another man walked up to the apartment of a 32-year-old man, identified themselves as police officers by showing a gun and a shield, then followed the victim into the apartment.
They then bound the hands and feet of a 19-year-old woman and blindfolded a 77-year-old woman who was also in the apartment. Police say the suspects ransacked the place and took off with some money.
A 22-year-old Staten Island man was arrested and charged a few hours later, according to investigator.
Police are still searching for the other suspect. He is described as about 6 feet tall and in his 50s. Police say he had on a striped shirt, light colored pants and a skull cap.
The victims were not hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
