NYPD, FDNY pay respects to veterans in Times Square

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the U.S. Army showed off some of its combat equipment in Times Square, just steps away from the Veterans Day Parade.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the U.S. Army showed off some of its combat equipment in Times Square, just steps away from the Veterans Day Parade. 
Any New Yorker passing by got a close look at some of the state-of-the-art machinery troops use to help defend the country. 
The army says enrollment has declined in recent years and took today to tell people about the over 150 available positions.  
They were joined by members of the FDNY and NYPD who were assisting in recruitment and paying their respects to veterans present on Friday.
