A gun was discovered at Metropolitan Diploma Plus High School in Brownsville Thursday and two people were taken into custody, police say.

Education officials say a student found the gun, which was then recovered by school safety agents.

No one was hurt, according to authorities.

Police have not released the names of the individuals in custody.

There is no information about how the gun got inside the school.
