NYPD: Man accused of punching teen on J train in East New York

Police say the suspect is between 30 and 40 years old, with a medium build.

The NYPD is looking for a man who punched a 17-year-old girl while on the J train on Saturday, knocking her to the ground and leaving her with swelling to the face.

Sources tell News 12 the teen was filming TikToks with a friend, and the man told them to stop. They got into a confrontation and the man punched the teen in the face.

Police say the suspect is between 30 and 40 years old, with a medium build. He is said to have brown eyes, black hair in an afro and was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, black pants and black sneakers.

The teen refused medical attention on scene and is expected to be OK.
