A man was arrested for a robbery and slashing incident that occurred Friday night outside of a Chinese market in Sunset Park, according to police.
Authorities say it happened on 8th Avenue and 57th Street. They say Chai Lin, 28, approached a 63-year-old man around 10 p.m., pulled out a knife and demanded money.
Lin fled the scene with cash after slashing the victim, according to authorities.
Police say the victim was hospitalized and is expected to survive.
The charged against Lin include robbery, assault and several other offenses.
