Police found a man dead inside of a camper van on Cortelyou Road in Flatbush on Tuesday.
The man has been identified by authorities as 32-year-old Juan Rivas Millan. At this time, police are not deeming his death as suspicious.
Emergency medical responders arrived at the scene on Tuesday and found the man unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Neighbors called police when the camper first showed up on their block last Wednesday night. The NYPD told them it was legal if it is parked for a week on the street.
Surveillance video shows the moment when a man, woman, and their child approach the trailer, knocking multiple times and receiving no response. They call first responders, who then entered the camper and made the shocking discovery of Millan's dead body.
"I heard there was a bunch of ambulance out here and someone froze to death cardiac arrest," said neighbor Glenda Edwards. "If they would’ve came out, this could’ve been prevented. I said something, but someone lost their life."
The medical examiner is currently investigating the cause of death.
