yesterdayPolice say a man is wanted for knocking a woman unconscious and raping her in Kingsbridge Heights.
The NYPD says the incident happened Friday at 190th and Davidson streets around 1:30 p.m.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect put the 27-year-old woman in a chokehold.
Police say he held her in that position until she passed out. They say the suspect then sexually assaulted the victim.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for cuts on her nose and mouth.
The suspect was last seen wearing black jeans, a black hooded sweater and a red backpack.
Police ask anyone who may have information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
