Police are investigating a Borough Park bank heist that happened over the weekend.
Investigators say thieves got away with nearly $300,000 from the HSBC Bank branch on Thirteenth Avenue.
Police say it seems as though the suspects cut a hole in the bank gate and climbed up a ladder into an open hatch on the roof. Police say from there, they could have climbed into the bank.
Police say the incident likely happened over the weekend when the bank was closed.
Investigators say it is too early to tell if the burglary may have been an inside job, though multiple reports say the bank's alarm system was shut off during the time of the incident.
