Newly released surveillance video shows the moment a shooting went down inside a Brownsville apartment building.
The incident happened Tuesday around 11:30 p.m. inside 9720 Kings Highway.
The video released by the NYPD shows a man standing and waiting in the staircase. He and a group of men then begin to follow another man down the hall.
All of a sudden, one pulls out a gun and starts shooting.
The victim, a 35-year-old man, was shot in the back with another graze wound to his shoulder.
He is expected to survive. He's being treated for a gunshot wound to his back at Brookdale Hospital.
Investigators tell News 12 the two had some sort of argument just moments before, although it's unclear exactly what that argument was about.
Police say the man in the video was last seen wearing a light blue du rag, a white t-shirt, blue sweatpants and dark colored sneakers.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
