NYPD: Shooting, car crash in Longwood part of same investigation
News 12 obtained Ring doorbell video from a resident who lives on Hewitt Place – three men can be seen sprinting down the sidewalk heading toward East 156th Street.

The NYPD says a shooting and car crash in Longwood this evening that occurred within a close proximity are part of the same investigation.
Before the crash, a man was shot in the collarbone on East 161st Street and Westchester Avenue.
A short time later, an SUV was overturned on Hewitt Place after striking another SUV that ended up on the sidewalk.
News 12 obtained Ring doorbell video from a resident who lives on Hewitt Place – three men can be seen sprinting down the sidewalk heading toward East 156th Street.
It’s still unclear what involvement, if any, the three men have in the incident.
Police say the shooting victim is expected to be OK. No arrests have been made.
