Police say a 62-year-old woman was pushed onto train tracks this morning at the Jefferson Street station.
The woman was standing on the L train platform northbound side around 5:54 a.m. when a man said something to her and pushed her onto the tracks, the NYPD says.
The suspect then fled.
Police say people on the platform got the woman off the tracks before the train came. She was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center by EMS with an ankle injury.
Police describe him as a man in his 30s standing 6 feet tall, with a ponytail and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt at the time.
