NYPD: Suspect wanted for shooting man in Brownsville

Officers say a 911 call led them to Bristol Street between Livonia and Riverdale avenues around 8 p.m. Saturday.

A shooting incident left a 34-year-old man with injured Saturday night in Brownsville, according to police.

Officers say a 911 call led them to Bristol Street between Livonia and Riverdale avenues around 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

He was hospitalized and remains in stable condition.

Locals told News 12 that they were shocked to hear about the incident.

"It's sad we see these shootings, and this is just going to get worse. When we see the weather gets warmer we need more resources more help in this area," said James Moultrie.
