Police say a 16-year-old male victim set up a meeting with an unidentified male in the Avenue O and West 8th Street area on Sept. 15 at 9:30 p.m. to discuss a potential transaction. The items of purchase were 56 boxes of AirPods the victim listed for sale on Facebook marketplace.
Once at the meeting location, three unidentified male suspects approached the victim and displayed a firearm. Police say the suspects then removed the victim's AirPods and demanded his cellphone and fled on foot. Approximately $2,600 was stolen.
