The NYPD is searching for a woman seen on surveillance video slapping another woman in Manhattan on Wednesday.
Police say a 25-year-old woman was sitting with her friend in front of 279 Grand St. at around 7:30 pm.
Surveillance video shows another woman make an anti-Asian statement at the 25-year-old and then slap her in the face.
Authorities say the suspect fled the scene. The victim refused medical attention.
The suspect seen in the video is described as approximately 35 years old with a dark complexion, around 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and with short black hair. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black pants, white sneakers and carrying a gray coat.
