The New York State Liquor Authority banned a Bronx lounge's alcohol license after what the NYPD described as a series of violence and disorder.
The suspension of Plush 101 comes just a few days after the NYPD reported that a 19-year-old woman was shot in the leg as she was leaving her car outside of the lounge.
Police also cite an incident from Dec. 18 where one patron was shot multiple times after leaving the bar, and another person was shot outside of the location just one week before.
According to the State Liquor Authority, Plush 101 tends to get overcrowded and its customers are routinely overserved, leading to frequent calls of intoxicated patrons, assaults, intoxicated driving, thefts, public urination, noise complaints and more.
Plush 101 did post on its Instagram that it is serving happy hour drink deals on Feb. 16, but the doors were closed when News 12 arrived.
The State Liquor Authority chairman, Vincent Bradley, says not only has the establishment become a public safety threat, but a drain on police resources.
