Officers arrest sexual assault, robbery suspect in the Bronx

Police say a man wanted for sexually assaulting and robbing a 73-year-old woman in her Pelham Parkway home on March 23 has been arrested.
According to authorities, the suspect, identified as 45-year-old David Salas, entered the woman's home on Williamsbridge Road and Lydig Avenue without permission. The woman told the police she woke up to Salas on top of her and he demanded money.
Police say Salas proceeded to sexually assault her and then fled with her bank card and PIN number.
That woman was not injured, police say.
Officers were able to locate Salas and apprehend him Monday. Salas is being charged with burglary, criminal trespass and sexual abuse among other charges.
