Police officers saved the life of a 15-month-old baby after she stopped breathing in Brighton Beach.
Police say the incident happened Saturday on Ocean Parkway in Brighton Beach when Caroline Maran banged on the window of a police cruiser while it was stopped at a red light.
Officers Michael Pace and Jospeh Doyle got out of the car and noticed Maran's baby was turning blue, not breathing and foaming at the mouth so they called an ambulance.
However, Officer Daniel Newman and Lt. Patrick King were nearby and responded to the scene.
They rushed the baby to the hospital themselves while performing CPR.
The baby's heart started to beat again just as they pulled into the emergency room.
The baby has since been released.
