Officials: 1 killed, 8 injured in ambulance crash in Brooklyn

Officials say that one woman has died and eight others were injured after an ambulance and car collided on Avenue N and Schenectady Avenue in Brooklyn Sunday.

Officials say that one woman has died and eight others were injured after an ambulance and car collided on Avenue N and Schenectady Avenue in Brooklyn Sunday.
Officials have identified the ambulance to be from the Hatzolah EMS unit, which was flipped on its side. A black Nissan Maxima had massive damage to the entire front of the vehicle.
A 95-year-old woman with a heart condition was inside the ambulance at the time of the crash. Police have confirmed that this woman died after being transported to Mt. Sinai in Brooklyn.
Several others were also injured, including six EMS personnel and a 67-year-old man also in the ambulance.
