One person was hospitalized during a fire at a North Merrick home early Sunday, officials tell News 12.

Fire officials tell News 12 that the fire broke out around 3 a.m. at a home on Woodland Terrace.

News 12 is told one person, believed to a resident of the home, was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

There is no word yet on what sparked the fire.
