Officials: 37-year-old man taken into custody for fire on Fulton Street, 2 people injured

Police say the surrounding buildings were evacuated. There are currently no charges filed at this time.

Police have taken a 37-year-old man into custody after a fire broke out at a Fulton Street building on Thursday night.
According to the FDNY, a call came in for a man threatening to light a building on fire just before 5 p.m. at 2204 Fulton St. Sixth fire and EMS personnel responded to that address to put out a fire.
The FDNY reports that one civilian and one firefighter suffered injuries and that the fire was put under control after 7:30 p.m.
Police say the surrounding buildings were evacuated. There are currently no charges filed at this time.
