There is a plan in place to get more people to visit the city of Paterson – especially the city’s biggest draw, the Paterson Great Falls.

4h agoThere is a plan in place to get more people to visit the city of Paterson – especially the city’s biggest draw, the Paterson Great Falls.
Mayor Andre Sayegh was joined by New Jersey Department of Environment Protection Commissioner Shawn LaTourette and Rep. Bill Pascrell on Friday to announce the next phase of the Quarry Lawn Project.
The lawn has faced years of neglect and the plan is to put in a river walk and create more open space. Bids can be submitted for the work on March 7.
“When we invest in those spaces, we are investing in those who find respite in those places,” LaTourette says. “We are helping to make that experience more affordable.”
The DEP’s Green Acres Fund and the National Parks Service are each dedicating $1.8 million to the revitalization project.
