Elected officials held a special ceremony commemorating Pearl Harbor Day at Borough Hall in Downtown Brooklyn.
The seventh annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony was hosted by City Council Member Darlene Mealy. Veterans of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War also came out to thank and support their fellow service members.
Performances were provided by members of the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, the New York City color guard and a band from M.S. 2.
One by one, veterans shared their stories of Dec. 7, 1941. They say that it is wonderful to see continued support for their sacrifices.
