Mayor Bill de Blasio's office and the NYPD's 60th Precinct have confirmed that reports of an active shooter situation Monday afternoon at Coney Island Hospital were false.
Police tell News 12 Brooklyn that they went to check out reports that a wanted suspect was at the hospital.
When they arrived, there was confusion with the hospital and that's when reports of an active shooter situation came about.
