Officials: Wharton State Forest fire 95% contained

A major wildfire at Wharton State Forest is now mostly contained.
Officials say that fire consumed more than 13,000 acres of land since it started on Sunday. Officials say that the fire is about 95% contained.
The question now remains as to how the fire started. Officials say they believe an illegal campfire is the cause.
Roadways have now been reopened, including Routes 206 and 542.
Atsion Recreation Area and Batsto Village are reopened, but some areas remain shut down. This includes some hiking trails and the Mullica River campground.
