The struggles of the pandemic inspired many Long Islanders to find ways to give back.
One local teen chose to go above and beyond to help others.
17-year-old James Bodian from Oyster Bay has donated over 500 sanitation kits to Mama’s House, a homeless shelter.
“I just want to give back in any way possible and help those who aren't as fortunate as me so they can enjoy the same sort of things,” he says.
Bodian says those who want to help should donate and reach out to their homeless shelter or boys and girls club.
