One person is dead and another injured after a car crashed into a Flatbush home Tuesday morning.

Police say a white BMW was speeding when it jumped a curb on Clarendon Road and slammed into a house. The car caught fire and flames quickly spread to the house. Emergency officials say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger was treated for injuries. No one in the home was injured.

Authorities are investigating whether drag racing played a role in the accident.
