New York City is celebrating its one millionth tree being planted. 
Mayor Bill De Blasio joined other local officials today in the Bronx to mark the occasion.
The tree planting is part of the city's Million Trees NYC initiative, which is meant to encourage New Yorkers to care for their communities.
Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg and singer Bette Midler also took part in the celebration.
