Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced on Wednesday that Jiaxi “Jimmy” Liu, one of the operators of a Sunset Park construction company, was sentenced to two to four years in prison. 

The sentencing is in connection to a wall collapse that killed Luis Sanchez Almonte back in 2018. Liu was charged with criminally negligent homicide and fraudulent practices.  

Wilson Garcia Jr., 48, was also convicted of fourth-degree criminal mischief in this incident and is set to be sentenced on Oct. 18.
